I'd never really settled in anywhere. Hailsham had felt like home until I realised that everything I owned fit into a slim suitcase. The Cottages were lovely, but just felt like somewhere in between. My own bedsit was bland, grey, really just a place to rest my head. I didn't always sleep there, anyway. It made little difference whether I got a bed in the hospital or slept in my car or back at my apartment. I wanted something different in Darrow. I smiled. "Flowers are a good start, I think."
